The Tokai International School Association (TISA) is a group of international schools within the Tokai area which are working together to support their respective school communities and advance the ideals of international education.
Our History
TISA was formed from an initial meeting in one of the founding member schools on May 22, 2017 and a formal constitution was adopted in the Spring of 2019.
The original founding member schools were Abroad International School, Aichi International School, Discovery International School, Grow International Preschool, International Christian Academy of Nagoya, No Borders International School, Kakuozan International Preschool, Kids International School, Maple Leaf International School and Nagoya International School.

2021
New President & Vice President Appointed
Nao Geisler is appointed as President. Michael Finch is appointed as vice president.
New School Joins TISA
Upbeat International School is added to TISA member schools.
New Treasurer Appointed
Michiru Mitani is appointed as the TISA Treasurer.
Regular Spring Meeting
Our TISA meeting was conducted via Zoom due to COVID precautions.

Regular winter TISA meeting is conducted online due to COVID restrictions.

2019
President, Vice President & Treasurer Appointed
Ernie Izumi was elected as President of TISA. Nao Geisler was elected as Vice-President. Allison Jones became Treasurer.
Constitution Ratified
All members of TISA ratified and agreed upon a constitution to move forward. TISA is officially formed.
2017
First Meeting
All school heads met at the Nagoya International School.
